PUFFERFISH RUN

Hold your finger on the screen to puff up and rise. Let go to shrink and sink. Swim through the gaps in the coral without touching the coral or any sea creature. Every gap you pass scores a point, and the ocean gets faster and tighter the further you go.

That is the trick of the game: the more you puff up, the bigger your fish becomes and the harder it is to squeeze through a gap. Rise quickly, but shrink back in time. The ring around the fish turns red when you are almost at full size.

• Jellyfish: drifts up and down in a wave
• Shark: charges straight at you
• Sea urchin: bounces around diagonally

They show up as your score rises. One touch and the run is over.

As you score, you dive deeper: from the Shallow Reef through the Kelp Forest, Open Water, the Shipwreck and the Deep Ocean, down to The Abyss, where only your fish's glow lights the way.

• Shield: saves you from one hit
• Magnet: pulls nearby coins towards you
• Slow-mo: slows the ocean down for a few seconds

You can also start a run with a shield from the menu.

Your first games start with extra-wide gaps to help you get going. After that the game speeds up gradually: speed, gap size and the number of creatures all scale with your score. Most players find their rhythm after a few runs.

Collect coins in the gaps while you swim, fly close past the coral for a "CLOSE!" bonus, claim your daily reward, complete daily missions and the daily challenge, or watch a short ad in the shop for free coins.

Open the shop from the main menu. Skins unlock when you reach their score, or you can buy them with coins straight away. Hats and trails are bought with coins. Tap an item you own to wear it.

Come back every day for a reward that grows with your streak. You also get new daily missions and one daily challenge. They refresh automatically each day, even without an internet connection.

Once per run you can watch a short ad to continue from where you crashed, with a moment of protection to get back on track.

Your first games are ad-free. After that a short ad may appear between some games, never during play. Reward ads only play when you choose them.

Buy Remove Ads in the shop. It is a one-time purchase that turns off the ads between games for good. Optional reward ads, which you choose to watch, stay available.

Go to Settings → Restore purchases while signed in with the same Apple ID you used to buy it. Your purchase is restored for free.

In the game, open Settings → Privacy options (shown in regions where consent is required). Tracking permission can be changed in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Read more in our Privacy Policy.

Tap the speaker icon on the menu or during play to mute. Open Settings from the main menu to switch sound, vibration and screen shake on or off and to choose a language. Your choices are saved automatically.

English, Dutch, German, French, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese and Japanese. By default the game follows your iPhone's language.

Yes, your progress is saved automatically on your device. Progress from the earlier version of the game (high score, skin and sound setting) carries over when you update. Deleting the app also deletes your progress, but a Remove Ads purchase can always be restored.

Close the app completely and open it again. Make sure iOS and the app are up to date. If it keeps happening, email us with your iPhone model, iOS version and what you were doing, so we can fix it.
